TREAT your self ? Nutrition? and Don't Cheat yourself | Bodybuilding ...

Diets can be harsh on your body, mind and dedication to an end goal. Some people do better on eating the same thing every day for 16 weeks. Some do better with cycling. Some still haven?t figured out what works for them and end up parked behind a McDonald?s devouring a ?Mc Wrap?, making the excuse that the ?wrap? part isn?t has bad as the bun, and McDonald?s swears its 100% Beef, so it cant be too far off diet.

All diets deserve a break. A nutrition plan should never be so restricting that you?re going crazy, but diets with a purpose, are tough and sometimes you NEED a metal and nutritious cheat, or what sounds even better is TREAT Meal. Why TREAT over CHEAT. The word cheat is full of negative feelings: ? Act dishonestly or unfairly ? A person who behaves dishonestly ? To deceive by trickery

To cheat on your diet is to almost harm your body with negative impacting foods. And the word cheat allows you to think you can eat horribly for one meal, one day or even one week. Sadly, your stomach somewhat becomes a disposable garbage can. To say TREAT, you get feelings of reward, payment, recognition, and you tend to do those sorts of things to your body in return.

Treat meals are important for these reasons: 1. When you go for so long eating very little calories , your metabolism begins to slow down. If you add a TREAT meal to the day, the body senses that it no longer needs to conserve fuel, and thus, starts burning calories at an elevated pace again (a) 2. Treat meals that are large and dense in nutrition like a home made lasagna (easy on the cheese). They will re-fuel you and your body will be thankful and satisfied 3. It helps with goals, if you treat yourself once a week, you always have something to look forward to 4. It makes your nutrition plan less boring and redundant 5. It can entice you to train harder. A lot of athletes will have their hardest or longest practices or training sessions on a Saturday and then enjoy a large meal afterwards. Knowing the meal is coming after their workout, entices them to make it through the grueling training session

Here is a GREAT Treat meal recipe to try at home Taco Bowl Salad 1 package extra lean ground beef 1 package low sodium taco seasoning 1 head of lettuce Organic Blue or Corn chips 1 tomato diced Fat free sour cream Salsa Guacamole 2 Avocados 1 lime (juice) 2 tbsp cilantro chopped ? teaspoon salt 2 tbsp red onion chopped

I. Heat a pan over medium and brown the beef. Follow the instructions on the taco seasoning package for the meat II. In a large individual bowls place a cup of lettuce and then line the toppings in rows across the salad III. The rows will be tomato, line of home made guacamole (see below), line of sour cream, line of salsa IV. When the taco meat is finished place in separate bowl V. Place corn chips in separate bowl VI. Serve the salad bowls and let everyone put on their own meat and corn chips on top of the salad
